The Beauty Of Slow Motion

A video featuring some of the beautiful happenings we miss out on everyday because we lack the ability to observe them completely with the naked eye. And yes, Superman is obviously privy to all of this and yes, I envy him that innate ability:

That was some great stuff. I wonder if it would be possible to see that way, if one just shifted focus in some way. Are we trained to just view actions within a certain range of speeds?

I would suspect that rather than training it would have to do with the brain's ability to process images at a certain speed ex DLB, although I would also assume that one's level of eyesight has something to do with it as well.

I've read about major league ball players with better than perfect vision who can see the rotation of the ball and even the individual stitches as its hurling towards them before they decide to swing at it. I wrote a post about surgical enhancement (eyesight included) and it's repercussions on competitive sports way back in the day. You might find it entertaining, and the comments were pretty interesting as well.

Phenomenal creativity and filming. Wonder if I'm the only one who caught the phallic symbolism at the beginning and the end? Or am I just an old female fart with lurid dreams?

Can't it be both, PP?

Parsley, I noticed it too.

Of course, you could argue most of the imagery was phallic:

Apparently, super slo-mo works best when filming ultra-violent actions! I'm always a little amazed at these kinds of images of punctured water-filled balloons.
