This is the first time I've ever seen or even heard of these scary looking creatures; apparently they live near the ocean bottom and are rarely seen although their numbers are known to be plentiful enough that they are not considered endangered in any way. And curiously: up to 25% of their body weight is from their livers; scientists have no idea what they need these giant livers for but I'm guessing beer pong. Check out the video from Japan:
